How do I add a wireless DoorLock to KentixONE?

This guide shows how to add a wireless DoorLock to KentixONE. It walks you through the necessary setup steps, device pairing and configuration to ensure the door lock is properly integrated and can be used within your Kentix security system.

1. Add wireless Doorlock to KentixONE​

1.1 Prerequisites​

  • Check if Doorlock and AccessManager use the same wireless standard (BLE ↔ BLE, 868 MHz ↔ 868 MHz). Mixed operation is not possible.
  • Log in to KentixONE and open the detail view.
  • Ensure the Doorlock is within wireless range of the AccessManager.
  • Position Doorlock as close as possible to AccessManager during enrollment (do not install yet). Range is reduced during enrollment.
  • Have master card set ready.
  • Insert/activate battery.

1.2 Prepare Doorlock​

  1. Enroll master card set on the Doorlock according to instructions.

1.3 Add Doorlock​

  1. Click "Add device" in the top right of the detail view.
  2. Select "Door knob (wireless)".
  3. Choose correct host unit.
  4. Bring Doorlock as close as possible to AccessManager and keep still.
  5. Click "Add".
  6. Hold the previously enrolled service key to the Doorlock to enter programming mode.
  7. Follow the instructions in KentixONE.
  8. Complete configuration in KentixONE and mount Doorlock at target location.

After each device integration, perform a function test (access check, alarm/status messages) before final installation.

Troubleshooting - Checklist​

  • Are all devices reachable via network? IP concept checked?
  • Do firmware versions of Main and Satellites match?
  • Was the correct wireless type configured (esp. Multisensors/AccessManager/Doorlock)?
  • Was a different static fallback address set for DHCP?
  • Is a wireless sensor within sufficient range during enrollment? Battery inserted?
  • Was the correct host selected during addition?
