Interlocking

The so-called interlocking is a term from security technology, specifically hazard detection systems. Simply put, it refers to the requirement to minimize false alarms. The two essential steps to achieve this are implemented in KentixONE as follows:

  1. Alarm groups that have been armed cannot be entered by persons who do not have authorization to disarm the alarm group. This prevents false alarms from being triggered by forgotten disarming.
tip

To be able to control an alarm group via bookings at a DoorLock, it must be configured accordingly and the users need the appropriate permissions. See Controlling Alarm Groups via DoorLocks.

  1. Alarm groups may only be armed if none of the subordinate devices and sensors report a pending alarm. This prevents an alarm group from detecting an alarm immediately after being armed and signaling it accordingly.
