Backup
A backup is important to secure your data and configurations and to be able to restore them in case of a device failure or
emergency situation.
Through regular automatic backups you can ensure that important information such as
logbooks and configuration settings are secured.
If you need to reset a device to factory settings or replace a defective device, you can
quickly restore all configurations using the backup. A backup thus serves security and
facilitates the restoration of your data and settings.
Backup Configuration
The backup configuration provides a central overview of all available backup options. Here you can select and configure various backup types.
Create Backup
In addition to the ability to create backups automatically, KentixONE also offers the possibility to initiate a backup manually at any time. A manually started backup cannot be stored on the SD card inserted in the device.
The manual backup is downloaded directly to your hard drive when you create it.
Backup Measurement-History
This function allows you to create a backup of all measurement histories. This way, all stored sensor data and measurements can be secured.
A backup of the measurement history is particularly important for long-term archiving of sensor data and for compliance requirements.
Restore Backup
To restore configurations, a backup can be uploaded. Backups can only be uploaded from an external storage medium. Backups that were automatically created and stored on the SD card inserted in the device must be moved from the SD card to an external storage medium before restoring the backup.
When restoring a backup, the current configurations will be overwritten. Make sure you have created a current backup beforehand.
