VdS 2465
KentixONE (from version 8.4.0) is able to transmit messages according to the VdS 2465 directive (transmission protocol for hazard detection systems) to corresponding control centers via networks of the TCP protocol family.
General
For KentixONE to transmit messages to a control center, the IP address and port number of the control center are required to establish the connection. Additionally, an alternative IP address and port number can be specified. This is necessary, for example, with a server that has two network interfaces or with a mirrored system.
The transmission units are given an identifier (VdS ID) that is uniquely assigned by the control center for each transmission unit. The VdS ID serves for the unique assignment of the transmission units on the control center side and as an index for encryption.
The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is used as the encryption standard. For this, an AES key and the key number generated by the control center must be entered. When establishing communication between the transmission unit and the control center, by default the first ticket is sent unencrypted from the transmission unit to the control center. The control center then sends an encrypted ticket (AES) containing the session keys for encrypted communication. If the first ticket should already be sent encrypted (AES) to the control center, "Encrypted" must be entered in the Authentication menu field.
To check the function of the transmission unit and the control center, tickets are cyclically exchanged between both. When the tickets are exchanged between both can be set in the Routine Time menu item. Additionally, depending on the configuration of the control center, a routine ticket or an event notification with message ID 0x53 is requested when establishing a connection.
KentixONE checks the connection to the control center at cyclical intervals. In case of a connection loss, there is the possibility to send a notification. All users with activated system notifications then receive an alarm message.
Reporting Lines
A reporting line is a summary of detectors for which there is a separate display in the control center.
Example: A reporting line for fire alarms only reports fire alarms to the control center. Humidity, vibration, etc. is not forwarded to the control center on this reporting line.
To configure a reporting line, the corresponding alarm group and alarm type must be assigned to the reporting line number.
Alarm groups are configured in the Detail View and represent the system structure by building, floor, room or function.
Different alarm types can be configured. Only when an alarm occurs that matches the configured alarm type, a message is sent to the control center via the corresponding reporting line.
