Mobile Network
KentixONE notifies users of certain alarm events based on configuration. In addition to email alerts and push notifications, SMS alerts are available as a notification channel. The configuration of the SMS alert channel takes place under this menu item.
Users only receive SMS notifications if a phone number is stored in their user profile and SMS notification is activated for the corresponding alarm types.
SIM Information
Once an activated SIM card is inserted into the device and the mobile connection is activated, the SIM information appears. This provides information about the connection status, network operator and ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identifier).
As soon as the device has connected to a network operator's network, the status "Ready" appears and the name of the network operator is displayed.
If an incorrect PIN was entered to activate the SIM card, the status "Enter PIN" appears (this status also appears if no
PIN was entered but a PIN is required).
Once the PIN has been entered incorrectly three times, the PUK is required to reactivate the PIN. Accordingly, the status
"Enter PUK" appears.
The ICCID is a globally unique identification number of the SIM card. It is stored both in the ROM of the card and usually printed on the card itself.
Mobile Connection
Under this menu item, the SIM card settings and PIN are managed. By default, a PIN is required to activate the SIM card.
This can be entered via the "Set PIN" tab.
The PIN can also be changed and the PIN query can be activated or deactivated.
If the PIN query is deactivated, no PIN is required to unlock the SIM card.
SMS Gateway
The SMS gateway can be used to send SMS notifications outside of the alerting system.
An example use case for the SMS gateway would be an SMS notification for failed bookings.
For this, a webhook must be created that accesses the SMS gateway via SmartAPI.
The request structure can be found in the examples shown on this page.
