Exception Day Profiles

Exception day profiles allow you to block specific days of the year for Access Profiles. On these exception days, users with the corresponding access profile cannot open the DoorLocks. Typical use cases are company holidays, public holidays or maintenance days.

Overview

In the overview view, all created exception day profiles are displayed in a tabular format. From here, existing profiles can be edited or new profiles can be created by clicking on the "+" symbol.

General

In the "General" section, the basic settings for the exception day profile are configured.

Name

Here, the unique name for the exception day profile is assigned. The name should be descriptive to be able to clearly identify the profile later.

info

The name of the exception day profile is displayed for selection in the Access Profiles. Therefore, choose a descriptive name like "Company holidays 2025" or "Maintenance days".

Days

The "Days" section allows the definition of specific exception days via a calendar view.

Annual Calendar

The calendar view clearly displays all 12 months of the selected year. You can navigate between years using the arrow buttons.

Day Selection

Individual days can be selected by clicking in the calendar. Selected days are marked in red and defined as exception days.

Detail View

Clicking on a day opens a detail view with extended options:

Description

For each exception day, an optional description can be stored that explains the reason for the blocking.

Repetitions

The following options are available for recurring exception days:

  • None: The exception day only applies to the selected date
  • Weekly: The exception day repeats weekly (e.g. every Monday)
  • Monthly: The exception day repeats monthly (e.g. every 1st of the month)
tip

Use the repetition options for regular exception days such as weekly maintenance windows or monthly inventory days.

Import and Export

tip

Exception days can be imported and exported via ICS files. This makes it possible to plan exception days in a calendar program and then import them into KentixONE. Likewise, existing exception day profiles can be exported and used in other systems.
