User Configuration

Account Settings

Contains all basic data and permissions of a user account.

To create a user, at least the username, full name and user group must be configured.

If the user should have access to the web interface of a KentixONE device, they need a password which they use in combination with the username for login.

To receive system notifications via email, an email address can be stored. Configuring an email address does not automatically activate notifications through this channel. The corresponding permissions must be set in the "Notifications" category.

A user always needs one of the three available permission levels. As a standard user they have a user group that determines their permissions in the web interface, as well as assigned alarm groups and access profiles. In the detail view and logs, the user only sees their assigned alarm groups and devices. An administrator has unrestricted access to the system and may operate all functions of the web interface.

note

To be able to switch alarm groups, these must be assigned to the administrator.

A guest user has no access to the web interface and monitoring functions. This permission level is intended for users who should only use access functions.

The assigned alarm groups allow a user to see these alarm groups and their subordinate devices in the detail view. With the corresponding permission from the user group, they can arm and disarm alarm groups and acknowledge alarms.

The access profiles specify when a user is allowed to open which doors. This applies to openings via RFID transponder, remote opening and via the KentixONE Apps.

A user account can be activated or deactivated both manually and automatically. For automatic activation or deactivation, only the corresponding date and desired time need to be specified.

Notifications

For each user, it can be defined through which notification method the different alarm types are signaled.

Each of the five alarm types has its own configuration options for its notifications. Both for alarms (red border) and warnings (yellow border), it can be defined through which notification method information should be sent.

Email notification is available on all KentixONE devices but requires a configured SMTP server or an active connection to the KentixONE online service.

On devices with an active SIM card, possible with SiteManager and AlarmManager, SMS notification can also be configured. For this, a mobile phone number must be stored in the "General" category.

With an active connection to the KentixONE online service, push notification is additionally available. To use this service, the user must have installed the KentixONE App and set up the respective system there.

Billing

Here you can select which bills a user receives. Bills contain the consumption and costs of defined SmartMeters and SmartPDUs at defined rates. These can be configured in the menu under SmartPDU/Billing. Bills are sent by email by default.

General

Additional information and permissions of the user are configured in this category.

For SMS notification with SiteManagers or AlarmManagers, the user needs a phone number or mobile number. This must be entered in the format +49 ...

If one or more DoorLock-WAx with KeyPad are used and PIN authentication is active, a PIN can be assigned to a user. The required length of the PIN depends on the setting under Configuration/Security.

To ensure that doors can still be opened in case of a communication failure between DoorLocks (battery-powered only) and AccessManager, emergency access can be granted to the user. If a DoorLock cannot reach its AccessManager, this means that no access evaluation can take place. Users with emergency access may still open the door in this case. Since this is purely a security function, it is recommended to give this permission only to selected users.

note

Emergency access is only transferred to the DoorLocks at the first booking after saving the user.

The transponder ID is the ID of the RFID transponder with which the user can book at DoorLocks. If none is stored, doors can only be opened via remote opening or app.

If the user should be able to arm and/or disarm alarm groups, the corresponding permission must be set here.

The displayed API token can be used if the user should operate the KentixONE system via the SmartAPI. In this case, the token is to be used for authentication via Bearer Token.
