Monitoring

In the "Monitoring" section, you define which alarm groups a user is allowed to see and operate, and through which channels they are notified in case of events. Additionally, billing schedules can be assigned here, which the user receives periodically via email.

Permissions ​

Alarm Groups​

Select which alarm groups the user gets access to. The assignment controls, among other things:

  • Visibility of the alarm groups in the interface
  • Operation rights (e.g., arming/disarming)
  • Receipt of events and notifications from assigned groups

Assign only the alarm groups the user truly needs (Principle of Least Privilege).

Notifications ​

When an event occurs, the user is notified via the configured channels. Each alarm category allows channels to be activated separately.

Notification Channels​

  • Email: Sent to the email address stored in the master data.
  • SMS: Sent to the stored phone number in international format (+49).
  • Push: Push notification to the user's KentixONE app.

  • SMS requires a valid phone number in the master data.
  • Push requires the user to sign in to the KentixONE app and have notifications enabled on the device.

Alarm Categories​

  • Always Active: Events that are continuously monitored (e.g., environmental or system states).
  • Armed Active: Events from armed areas (burglary/alarm systems).
  • Fire: Fire or smoke events.
  • Sabotage: Tampering events on devices/components.
  • System: System messages such as failures, communication, or firmware notices.

Activate the desired channels per category. Deactivated channels will not send notifications for that category.

Keep the user's contact details up to date. Incorrectly stored email addresses or phone numbers will result in missed notifications.

Billing ​

Here you assign billings to the user. The selected billings are automatically sent to the user via email at the respective billing time.

  • Use the input field to select one or more billings.
  • Remove entries if the user should no longer receive the billings.

Billings are delivered independently of the notification settings. Ensure the email address is correct.
