System
This article describes all settings in the "System" tab within the user group configuration. Here you define which maintenance- and support-related functions members of this group can see or operate.
Backup
The permissions in this category are required to manage the system's backup processes.
Create Backup
Allows the creation of backups for the system configuration and, if enabled, the measurement history.
Restore Backup
Allows importing a previously created backup file to restore the system to an earlier state.
Automatic Backups
Allows configuring and enabling time-controlled automatic backups.
Before restoring, ensure that the target system is version-compatible and that existing changes have been backed up. A restore overwrites current settings.
Update
These permissions control whether users are allowed to update the system devices.
Update of Main Device
Allows updating the firmware of the main device.
Remote Update of Satellites
Allows triggering firmware updates for connected satellite devices via the main device.
Schedule updates outside critical operation hours. Verify satellite synchronization afterward.
Reset
Reset
Allows resetting devices to factory settings.
A factory reset deletes local settings of the affected device. Perform a backup beforehand and document the network configuration.
SD-Card
SD-Card
Allows managing the SD-card, e.g., deleting all data on the card.
Use suitable cards with sufficient write endurance (Endurance class) for long durability.
Device Information

Allows access to all information of the main device (e.g., serial number, firmware status, additional system information).
Integration Assistant
Integration Assistant
Allows the use of the integration assistant to connect KentixONE with another system or to import data.
The integration assistant can make system-wide changes (e.g., creating/assigning objects). Perform tests in a separate environment first.
System Analysis
System Analysis
Allows the use of the system analysis tool, which is used for diagnostics in support queries.
