Alarm Group

Alarm groups serve to organize the devices of a Kentix system. Through the ability to nest alarm groups arbitrarily, the Kentix system can be shaped into a logical or structural representation of its location.

Configuration

Alarm and notification settings can be inherited between alarm groups, which simplifies the configuration of subsections of the system.

Organizational Structure

Alarm groups allow creating a hierarchical structure that corresponds to the physical or logical arrangement of the monitored areas. Complex structures can be mapped through nesting.

Inheritance of Settings

Configurations from parent alarm groups are automatically passed down to subordinate groups unless explicitly overridden. This greatly simplifies the management of large systems.

info

Changes to parent alarm groups automatically affect all subordinate groups unless they have their own specific settings.
