Resetting the system allows you to make a fresh start and reconfigure the system according to your requirements.
It is recommended to create a backup of the system before resetting. As the inserted SD card cannot be used as a storage location for the backup, the data on the SD card is not reset. The data on the SD card must be deleted either via the SD card menu item or externally on a PC.
It is also possible to retain the network settings when resetting. This is useful if specific requirements have already been configured in your network and these are to be retained.
