Time Profiles

Time profiles, together with exception day profiles, determine when a user may access a specific area. For example, it can be specified that a user only has access during office hours. The configuration is done via an intuitive user interface with visual time block selection.

Overview

The overview page shows all available time profiles in a structured table with search and management functions.

Search Function

Using the search field, you can specifically search for certain time profiles. The search filters the results in real-time based on the entered search term.

Time Profiles Table

The table shows all available time profiles with the following information:

  • Name: The name of the time profile
  • Actions: Available actions for each profile (View, Edit, Delete)

Predefined time profiles:

  • Workdays: Access only on working days
  • Always: Permanent access around the clock
  • Never: No access
  • Weekend: Access only on weekends

The table shows "Showing 1 to 4 of 4" entries and allows selection of the number of entries to display (25 per page).

info

KentixONE offers predefined time profiles that can be edited or modified at any time. Additional profiles can be created as needed.

Configure Time Profile

The detailed configuration of a time profile allows precise setting of access times via visual time block selection.

General

Basic settings of the time profile.

Name

Give the time profile a unique name. In this example, "Workdays" is entered as the name. The field serves for clear identification of the profile.

note

Enter a name for the time profile.

Exception Day Profile

Select an exception day profile from the dropdown menu. In the example, "None" is selected. Exception day profiles define special days (e.g., holidays) where different rules apply.

info

On the days selected in the exception day profile, the set time blocks are not considered.

Define Time Blocks

The core of the time profile configuration is the visual time block selection via a weekly grid.

Weekly Time Grid

The system provides a detailed time grid for all seven days of the week:

  • Weekdays: Mon. (Monday), Tue. (Tuesday), Wed. (Wednesday), Thu. (Thursday), Fri. (Friday), Sat. (Saturday), Sun. (Sunday)
  • Time resolution: Hourly divisions from 00:00 to 23:00
  • Minute resolution: Each time block corresponds to 15 minutes

Time Block Selection

Time blocks can be selected by clicking and dragging. The screenshot shows a continuous green time block from Monday to Friday during working hours (approximately 09:00 to 18:00).

  • Green blocks: Activated time periods where access is granted
  • Gray blocks: Deactivated time periods without access
  • Interactive selection: Click and drag to mark time ranges
tip

You can select time blocks by clicking and dragging with the mouse. Already marked areas can be deactivated by clicking again.

Time Display

The upper time display shows the hour markings from 00:00 to 23:00. This serves as orientation for precise selection of desired access times.

Example Configuration "Workdays"

The shown profile "Workdays" displays a typical office hours configuration:

  • Monday to Friday: Access during working hours (approx. 06:00-19:00)
  • Weekend: No access (Saturday and Sunday remain free)
  • Night times: No access outside working hours
note

Each time block corresponds to 15 minutes. This fine resolution allows you to define precise access times.

Predefined Time Profiles

The system provides various predefined time profiles:

Workdays

  • Monday to Friday: Access during business hours
  • Weekend: No access
  • Usage: Standard workplace access

Always

  • All days: 24/7 access
