Logbooks
KentixONE provides three logbooks: Access Logbook, Event Logbook, and System Logbook. They are used to track access events, alarms/notifications, and system messages. All views offer search, filter, and export options and can be limited to a specific date range.
Access Logbook
The Access Logbook lists all bookings on door components (e.g., DoorLock). For each booking, the date and time, door used, associated alarm group, user, and booking status are displayed. Additional information can be viewed in the "Details" column.
Columns
- Date: Date and time of the booking (sortable)
- DoorLock: Name of the door or device
- Alarm Group: Assigned alarm group, e.g., "Data-Center-Two"
- User: Initiating user
- Booking Status: Result of the booking (e.g., success/error) as an icon
- Details: Context-dependent additional information
Filter and Date Range
At the top, there are a search field, filter dialog, date range (from/to), as well as buttons to refresh the list and export to CSV.
If the date range is changed, the data must be reloaded using the refresh button.
Use the CSV export to archive access events for audits or external evaluations.
Take data protection guidelines into account when exporting personal data (e.g., username) and restrict access accordingly.
Event Logbook
The Event Logbook logs all events related to alarms, arming/disarming processes, and notifications. Entries assigned to the same event are displayed grouped. This way, you can keep track of related steps such as notifications (email, SMS, push), webhooks, or status changes.
Operation and Filters
- Search field and filter dialog allow targeted narrowing by alarm type, alarm group, and device
- The date range defines start and end, and the list is reloaded by refreshing
- Detailed information about an event can be accessed via the "Details" column
The icon on the left in the list indicates the current state of an event (e.g., active, acknowledgeable, completed).
Export
The CSV export downloads the currently filtered entries as a file, suitable for further processing in spreadsheet programs.
System Logbook
The System Logbook lists system messages of your installation, e.g., start/end of synchronizations, connection or communication errors (such as "Incorrect communication key"), and other technical events.
Usage and Evaluation
- Check for causes of integration or network issues here
- Use the chronological display to track sequences such as "Synchronization started/completed"
Combine the System and Event Logbook to recognize the temporal relationship between technical messages and alarm/notification events.
