Overview
The KIO7053-VdS extension is used to connect magnetic contacts, bolt contacts and motion detectors in accordance with VdS class B to a KIO7053 module. The extension is connected to a KIO7053 module using the two jumpers supplied. The KIO7053 module and the extension are stacked and no additional dividing unit is required on the top-hat rail for mounting (Piggypack). A maximum of 8 magnetic contacts, bolt contacts or motion detectors can be connected per extension.

To detect a possible interruption in the power supply, the KIO7053 module must not be supplied via PoE. Power is supplied via an external power supply unit (12VDC) and via terminal strip X3 of the KIO7053-VdS extension.
