KentixONE: Access control special days

To control access in more detail, KentixONE allows the use of special days in access profiles. These can be added manually or imported from a calendar file (.ics).

In both cases, the special days are created on the main device under “SmartAccess”-> “Access profiles”-> “Manage special days”.

Manual setup

The “+” icon is used to add closing days manually.

Name the new table and select the new special day in the calendar.

Click the appropriate tag. Enter a description of the new special day. With the repeat function, this day can be repeated automatically on a weekly or monthly basis.

Click “Add” and the day will be added to the calendar.

Save the list created in this way after all special days have been inserted by clicking “Save”. The next step is to assign one or more calendars with special days to the desired access profiles.

Import special days

Special days can also be imported as a ready-made list in .ics (“iCalendar”) format. Many websites offer such files for download. To do so, select “Import special days” in the “Manage special days” menu.

Load the desired file.

The result of the import process is shown.

If necessary, check and correct the imported data.

Save the list created in this way with “Save”. The next step is to assign one or more calendars with special days to the desired access profiles.

Assignment to access profiles

Open an access profile. Now one or more lists of special days can be added to the access profile.

Multiple special days profiles in access profiles

It is possible to use several special day calendars in one access profile. For example, a profile for recurring closing days (Sundays) and an additional one with holidays or other special days.

In case of conflict in the special days by several lists, the list with allowed access is used for the day in question.
