Devices with Ethernet

All Kentix devices with LAN/Ethernet connection are supplied via PoE (Power ove Ethernet). Power is then supplied via a PoE-enabled switch. If the existing switch does not have a PoE function, power can be supplied via a PoE injector.

A significant advantage of the PoE supply is that only one cable is required for communication and power supply, and if a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) is used, the device continues to function even in the event of a power failure.

Devices without Ethernet

Kentix devices without Ethernet are typically powered by an external power supply. Depending on the type and installation version, a plug-in power supply is already included with the device.

Please refer to the quick instructions supplied with the devices and the data sheets for the exact connection data. Typically, the supply voltage is between 12-24VDC (DC voltage).
