Spring return is not absolutely necessary. For other lock types, the required direction of rotation for opening the lock and the cylinder length must be determined in advance. The initial position of the locking bit (1) is explained in the following steps.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To enable the installation of the half cylinder in the comfort handle, the holder (2) must first be fastened to the half cylinder using the fastening screw (3).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please note that the locking bit (1) must be facing upwards to be able to reach the actuator plate of the Rittal handle. The position of the closing bar (1) can be adjusted by loosening the screw (5). After loosening the screw, the closing bit can be moved to the desired position.<br\/>To avoid permanent opening of the handle and problems when installing the cylinder in the handle housing, the locking bit should not be positioned directly against or under the actuator plate. (See Fig. 1 in the section &#8220;Inserting the half cylinder into the handle housing&#8221; in this document).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The positioning of the closing bar (1) should be selected 90\u00b0 before the actual position of the opening mechanism.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-medium\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.kentix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/grafik-122-306x400.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2400\"\/><\/figure>\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">The positions for the lock bit are specified by threaded holes. If the screw (5) cannot be screwed in, the cam must be moved further until the screw is located over a hole provided for this purpose.<br>The screw can then be screwed in without any problems.&nbsp;Please note the direction of rotation of the locking bar when opening the Kentix DoorLock. In the case of the half cylinder without spring return, the locking bit can be rotated 360\u00b0 in both directions.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">The half cylinder without spring return can be used equally for locks with locking direction right or left.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inserting the half cylinder into the handle housing<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now the half cylinder is inserted into the housing of the handle from behind and fastened with the enclosed screw. The opening for the lock must be visible from the front and the cylinder must not protrude over the edge of the housing.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For better visibility, the mudguard was not mounted for the example. This is fastened with the same screw as the cylinder, as can be seen in the second picture.
