When installing and commissioning the DoorLock-DC radio knob cylinders (BASIC/PRO), the following installation and maintenance instructions must be observed:

Cylinder installation

The cylinder may protrude a maximum of 1 to 3 mm from the fitting or security fitting which closely surrounds it. However, it must not be installed recessed in the fitting. It must also be ensured that the cylinder body is not clamped in the door. After tightening the forend screw and before installing the radio door knob, check the mobility of all components.

Maintenance of DoorLock-DC cylinders

If the radio door knob and cylinder have not been delivered assembled, one or two drops of a resin-free oil (KENTIX-ART: KXC-PLS50M) must be added to the cylinder body during the initial installation prior to assembly of the knob module. It must not be sprayed directly into the cylinder body with the spray can. With the DoorLock-DC BASIC radio door knob, additionally apply 1 drop of resin-free oil directly to the mechanical slide.

Maintenance and care of the cylinders or the entire lock should be carried out once a year. Pay attention to the mobility of all door components.

Do not use contact or cleaning sprays such as WD40 for maintenance.

Mounting the wireless knob cylinder

During installation, no foreign forces must act on the radio door knob and/or the cylinder body.

Operation

During operation, it must be ensured that no lateral or other external forces act on the radio knob cylinder other than when it is operated as intended. The door must also not be pulled open by the wireless door knob. Operation of the door via the wireless knob results in increased stress and premature wear and defects.

Battery change with low power adapter

If the battery of the DoorLock-DC Basic is completely discharged, the knob no longer shows any reactions (LEDs and signal tones). In the last phase of the discharged battery state, the knob always moves into the position in which the pins can be pressed in for battery replacement. If this is not the case, the low power adapter is required.
The following video shows the procedure for changing the battery with the low-power adapter. More information about the Low Power Adapter can be found here: Low Power Adapter

  1. Remove the plastic cover with the suction cup
  2. Hold the low power adapter to the contacts of the knob and remain in this position
  3. Hold battery change card between knob and low power adapter
  4. Remove the low power adapter and press in the two opposite pins with battery change pliers
  5. By pulling, the cover of the knob can be removed and the battery removed
  6. Insert a new battery and bring the knob shell into the correct position
  7. Fix pins with battery change card
  8. Fasten plastic cover with logo
